Tarp

The CONDOR's tarp can be of either mesh material or solid vinyl, depending on your needs. The tarp is reinforced along the length of the trailer where the tarp goes over the top corner, as well as along the front and back.

A rope is attached to the rolling side at the center of the tarp to aid in rolling the tarp closed. Just pull on the rope and the tarp comes with it. When finished, the rope can be coiled around the storage hooks.

Straps and Ratchets

2" cargo straps are used to tie down the tarp. They can be fed directly into the ratchets or used in conjuction with a short tail on the ratchet.

The end straps are sewn right across the tarp from one side to the other. The middle straps are looped around the roll pipe.

2" ratchets are bolted right onto the trailer.

Caps and Flaps

The front of the system can be closed in with a cap. Both solid metal or soft vinyl caps are available and can be installed at the rear as well.

Another option is a flap at the rear. This can be either attached to the tarp, or attached to the rear bow, if your system uses bows. The flap is then tied down with combination ropes/rubber straps.

Bows and Pipes

Our bows are manufactured in our facility of 7/8" aluminum rod. They are removable, for loading and unloading; and adjustable, to allow for flexing of the trailer sides.

The pipes used in the CONDOR are of Schedule 40 aluminum and are one peice (for up to 48' trailers). The rolling pipe is 2" in diameter, the fixed pipe, 1-1/4". The crank end can be placed at the front, back or both ends of the roll pipe. If your system does not use bows, a center pipe can be added to the system to keep the tarp taut when closed.

Cranks and Roll Stops

We carry both long and short handle cranks. The long crank has a 10' handle and a U-joint for cranking from the ground. Storage brackets are provided on the trailer side for the long crank. The short crank has a 2' handle and is sufficient for trailers with a catwalk at the front.

Our CONDOR roll stops allow for ease of installation and removal of the tarp. The roll stop flips down once the holding pin is removed.
