Verduyn Tarps Board of Directors encourages and supports projects and activities which strengthen the communities in which our employees live and work, improve the environment in which Verduyn Tarps does business and enhance the company's opportunities to prosper and grow

What is a Donation / Sponsorship?

A donation / sponsorship is defined as a gift or contribution, as to a cause, without seeking any benefits in exchange.

Donations differ from sponsorships in that they do not deliver business benefits or provide any real return benefit to the funding organization, Verduyn Tarps.

For the purpose of this policy a "non-profit community organization" is defined as any non-profit group, agency or service whose primary aims are to improve the quality of life to sections of the community or provide targeted welfare or other support.

Verduyn Tarps Approach to Donations

Verduyn Tarps will focus on initiatives in the following areas:

Civic and Community Programs - organizations and activities that meet the local community's basic needs. By providing significant support to social service initiatives, Verduyn Tarps is helping to improve the way people live, work and learn in the local areas.

Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation - Verduyn Tarps believes it is important to support groups that are looking to address environmental problems, are currently providing solutions to problems, or are examining ways in which to prevent them in the future.

Guidelines

Donations / sponsorships will be based on activities that directly impact on Verduyn Tarps customers and employees.

Verduyn Tarps will not fund:

• Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, colour, creed, gender or national origin.
• Individuals.
• Organizations or programs designed to influence legislation or elect candidates to public office.
• Organizations not registered as a charity or "not-for-profit" entity

• Verduyn Tarps will only support initiatives that provide benefits to the local communities and that are aligned to the Company's mission, vision and values.
• Verduyn Tarps' donation / sponsorship portfolio is developed in accordance with the budget year, commencing October 1.
• It will assist if your submission is typed.
